ASAY, Grace Ireland - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Grace Ireland Asay, 57, former Wallace resident, died at 11 a.m. Friday, May 8 in the HInsdale, Ill Medical Center. She was born Feb 9, 1896 in Montezuma, the daughter of Edward and Emma Ireland. She was married Dec 31, 1921 to Ray Asay who survives. Mrs. Asay was a resident of Wallace until 1934 when she moved to Hinsdale. She was a member and past worthy matron of Wallace Chapter, OES. Surviving in addition to the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lapka of Elmhurst and Margaret at home; a son, Donald at home; two brothers, William of near Wallac eand Robert of Danville, Ill; a sister, Mrs. Fern Smart of Attica and two grandchildren. Services were held Monday in Hinsdale.
